So, as usual up here at camp… the days fly by very quickly and I don’t get nearly as much time to update the blog as I would like.
Couple quick notes…
The kids are doing great! They’re having a wonderful time. Camp is functioning beautifully with a solid staff and I’m loving working with this summer's awesome bunch of CIT’s.
And, yes, my guitar floats.
For those who remember… Last summer, when we delayed the official opening of camp because of a serious H1N1 breakout, those of us left here got some extra time to play around in the pool. I thought, “Hey, what if I take my waterproof guitar in the pool for some fun photos?!”
Well, last year we thought twice, but in the meantime I consulted with manufacturers of the waterproof guitars and decided it was worth the risk.
Anyway, here are a few pics… just for fun…

Uh oh. Is that the rabbi's guitar walking on water?

Hi Rabbi Rick,
I'm Tom Strini, culture editor of www.thirdcoastdigest.com, an online magazine in Milwaukee. A classical guitar review on our site is shot through with water/music metaphors. I landed on your blog and the pic of the boy under water with a guitar. I swiped it to used with the review, with credit to you and a link to your blog. If this is not OK, let me knwo and I'll take it down right away. Many thanks.
